Why choose a group training class?

A group class will cover all the necessary training foundations and lifeskills your dog needs to help them live a happy life in a human world. Classes are also a great way for your dog to be exposed to different people and dogs in a safe and controlled space. During class dogs don’t generally interact with each other much, which gives a shy dog the chance to be around other beings without worrying that they will approach, and the outgoing dog the chance to practice being calm and focused on you in a new and distracting environment!

That being said, if you think your dog might struggle in a group class environment (won’t take treats, hide or be over-excited) private training might be a better option at first. Please note that anything beyond the scope of the group training class curriculum (separation anxiety, alone training, resource guarding, etc.) should be worked on in a private session.

Adolescent Dog Training Group Class

Adolescents dogscan find it difficult to concentrate and sometimes appear to have forgotten everything they learned as a puppy!  They may act more independently at times and then suddenly seem wary of things that used to be ok. Transitioning from puppyhood to adulthood can be a difficult time for dogs and they need you to guide them through that tricky stage!

This course is designed to help you understand your teenager dog and provide you and your dog with all the necessary skills to survive canine adolescence.

During classes, we will focus on strengthening your connection with your dog through engagement and teaching essential life skills such as:

  • focus
  • settling
  • patience and self-control
  • polite greetings
  • loose leash walking
  • recall
  • dealing with distractions

We will also cover mental stimulation & enrichment to teach you how to provide appropriate outlets for your canine companion's natural behaviours.

Our Teenagers Course is for dogs aged between 6 and 24 months, no prior training knowledge is required by owner or dog.

Classes are not suitable for 'reactive' dogs - if you think your dog will be too agitated or scared to participate around other dogs or strangers, we recommend that you start with private training sessions.

Puppy Playdates - €15/€10 for puppy training students

Puppy Playdates on Saturdays

Our puppy playdates are limited to 4 puppies per playgroup so that their interactions can be supervised appropriately, and to ensure that it's fun for all the puppies involved!

Playdates will include confidence courses, introducing your puppy safely to new objects, textures, sounds and obstacles to teach them how to interact with novel items and recover from odd and new sensations!

Puppies must be under 6 months of age to attend

for safety reasons and to make it easier for you to supervise your puppy's interactions, only children over 12 years of age can accompany you to playdates.
